Newbury grew bigger than portsmouth three years ago when they finished the bypass. The part of it that circles the town has been designated a ring road (so that the council rather than the government has to maintain it. That means that newbury falls within the confines of the road. Its a lot bigger. Yeah you're right laura. Portsmouth may have got bigger since my last visit.

as for the train station. You should have seen it in oct 2001 when the platform was three feet under water after the torrential rain and flooding.I missed it cos i was on holiday in the U.S. at the time having to suffer 90 heat and a private swimming pool.
