Jack had the arm the Doctor lost stored in a clear container of some sort that seemed to bubble a bit... anyway... the last episode of Torchwood things had just completely broken down and the rift opened ... actually I think someone on the team opened it ... anyway .. it released a demon that stole life ... since Jack has so much life force he engaged the demon to keep it busy and it drained Jack ... then Owen shot him but I don't remember why Owen shot Jack...

I'm going to have to watch that eppy again ... I don't remember why Owen shot Jack.
