Btw, the writer is none other than Oscar Brodney [www.imdb.com] who also authored this Tony Curtis gem, [www.imdb.com]. Apparently, Oscar also helped on this other Tony Curtis film that I have not seen -- [www.imdb.com]. Now I have two on my list...

Did I forget to mention Michael Ansara -- before he played Cochise or any Klingons -- is a Hun in this film? A sort of battlefield administrative assistant Hun: "My lord awakes, not knowing where he is, but calling for you..."

Importance is in the eye of the nit-picker...Note that the original (50 foot) has this note:

"Runtime: 65 min"

while the remake (50 ft.) has this note:

"Runtime: Germany: 85 min / Spain: 89 min / UK: 89 min / USA: 90 min"

I suppose being dubbed could account for the difference, but then why are Spain and the UK identical and both 1 minute shorter than the US?

Now that's an important question and we have no answer!

I'm not sure, but in the Allison Hayes version, I think she created a sort of bikini out of sails or bedsheets from the hospital, or balloon silk or some such...but maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.
