I've had digital TV for several years and the major irritation is the "all or nothing" aspect. With the old analogue systems (terrestrial and satellite) degraded signal = degraded image but you could still watch it through the snow. With digital, if there's not enough 1s and 0s then you just get a frozen mosaic - not good in East Yorkshire where heavy rain isn't exactly a rare event sad smiley
