But that doesn't mean you don't have a responsibility to follow what
is known as closely as possible. Even if we don't have direct facts on certain things, by looking at the context you can predict what would have been the most likely scenario. But for that you have to take input from several sources, and consult as many experts as possible, who have knowledge of the context of that age.

Just cause one is a movie producer doesn't release one from a moral responibility to the truth. Once one gets involved in history one is involved in the past. So either one does fiction, or one realises that one has no option but to do history properly. Ones responsibility to history and the truth is more important than ones responibility to this years account sheets.
