To be at the level of sophistication to understand what a pyramid is as a geometric concept, you will have already understood what a circle is.

only if that pyramid was built as a geometric concept

As this is a structure with purposeful, interior voids, as opposed to a pile of rocks, then it is a engineering venture which had to have some planning involved, which also must include some math concepts.
A plan made of simple geometric forms. A square base and four triangles for sides as the shape seems to be a geometric concept. Progressed from the mastabas or not the design is there. The mastabas are square based with triangular sides. Difference is mastabas have the step finish and the 'pyramids' have the smooth finish.

Rather than the easiest and sturdiest way to achieve elevation when piling up blocks.

This is more advanced then piling up stones in a shape that is stable.

there is a vast difference between 'piling up blocks' and 'a pile of blocks'.
'Piling up blocks" is the action and 'a pile of blocks' is the result. Close enough. You pile up the blocks to make a corner marker and you will have a pile of blocks when you are done that marks the corner, nothing more.
My statement stands as is. It is more than a pile of blocks in a sturdy configuration. It is a purposeful design.

and there is a vast difference between Sekeds and Pi
I never said or implied that the construction was random
and the developement of the Pyramid is observable .....right from the first Mastaba to the Kushite copies
Not a circle anywhere
Where did I mention anything about circles, pi, sekeds? If you can understand a pyramid shape(3 dimensions) then a circle(2 dimensions) would be understood. Heck the circle would be almost certainly the first geometric shape created.
You made the statement above leaving a choice between a plan using geometric shapes and 'piling up blocks'.
So if the pyramid/mastaba was created for a purpose then it was a construction that had a plan and was not a random 'pile of blocks'.
The very first graves/tombs might have been holes in the ground with rocks piled on top but it progressed into the mastabas/pyramids with a reasoned plan using geometric shapes and not a random 'pile of blocks'.
hehehe well if they used the sun to mark off the foundation lines I guess you can say every pyramid was created out of a circle.
