I agree ! We're happily trying to piece together an old family murder mystery. Jeff's ggg grandfather is supposed to have killed two of his brother-in-laws in a dispute over his father-in-laws will. But we can't find any evidence that he was ever punished and his wife stayed with him (her family was quite well off so she could have gone home without financial worry).
Jeff and a gentleman, David Moore, who is a descendent of one of the fellows that his ggg grandfather supposedly killed are working together to research this and write up a paper on it for the genealogy society in the area.... David stopped by here on his way down to Florida and he and Jeff took this picture in our back pasture ....(yeah yeah .. we needed to get the tractor out there and cut it down again .. just ignore that)
(Poor baby was looking right into the sun)
Jeff found some period dueling pistols ... took a picture we'd made of the old Moore home site in Kentucky ... added a cabin and a wagon ... put the whole thing together and made it sepia. This picture will accompany the article they're writing .... with the picture titled "Moore Reece finally settle will dispute"
