Putting aside levity, I can only assume at some level, it's the effort, not the outcome that counts... I had a deep discussion with an interesting Rabbi & I asked what difference one man can make. He told me the day would come when God & I stood side beside on a huge sand beach, I wouldn't find out if it was black sand or white sand until that moment... & all God would wonder is "what color sand grain did you carry?"

I took from that sweeping debate on very large segments of all life as we know it are beyond all of us, but we can make a small difference one day at a time, every chance we could...

I think/hope I've done more good then harm, but then I'm still an active player, the game is on, & I'm not the referee...
