Frankly, I think the disc is a hoax. It's found under questionable circumstances, the images are FAR too clear to be an ancient object, and the symbols do not follow the linguistic requirements for a language (either alphabet or symbolic language.)
...and I'm saying this as someone who studies linguistics.
It most resembles some of the efforts by Mormon apologists ("pious frauds") to produce things to bolster their claims for their holy book. It's no Mormon, of course, but the elements are there which show an "invented language made up by someone who doesn't understand how languages work."
