A number of mistakes. 1) The Maya never sacrificed anywhere near this number; 2) The Aztecs were the ones who did mass sacrifices; 3) the maximum numbeer claimed was 20,000; 4; The reason was not the end of the world but the inauguration of a new expansion of the Main Aztec temple.
