Remember (well, you may never have read it, so you can't remember) I think the Great Pyramid was the "funeral home"... not an individual grave. Hence the solar barks, the shafts, the precise nature, and the overall magnificence.

Just because it was built BY Khufu doesn't mean it was built FOR Khufu.
