<HTML>Yes,

... and how much of Memphis is extant to us today? Does this small town account fro the dwellings of the population needed in the OK (you know, for pyramid labour forces)? So thanks, Greg, but I was just wondering why Saqqara's complete land area is considered a funeral site.smiling smiley

Were there no living quarters? Do you know what the western enclosure's are, or what they were used for? Did every single person 'living' in the south-delta region take up residence at Memphis?

As long as were on Saqqara:

What are your thoughts on the ceiling of Zoser's main shaft? Wierd, hunh?

What do you think about the apparent sun/star/sun exchange of beliefs over time there? (The notable late change being at Abusir with Neferirkare).

Cheers,

Avry</HTML>
