You're forgetting that we do actually enjoy all this gossipy cat fighting between one another. But you're right it's not very dignified and the private exchange we were referring to was even less so. I thought this had all blown over but after seeing Avry raise the matter again on here I'd rather others were aware of the specifics rather than jump to conclusions over the allegations that Avry was making.
If anyone is still unclear there is no "grapevine" and the whole matter revolves around a private email exchange between Avry and myself from about a month ago. I have not made any effort whatsoever to prevent Avrys work from becoming published and I wish him well in his efforts to do so. I personally don't think Avry's rebuttal is worth commenting on and I gather that Kate Spence thinks likewise.
My original point to Avry was that if we can disregard Kates theory on the basis of selection of evidence, poor data and missing data can we not do the same with the Orion correlation theory? If Avry would like to answer that I'll try my best to remain courteous towards him. :-)
