<HTML>LOL
It's worth remembering what I actually wrote.

I drove pass there just yesterday ......... they should do more to protect the site - opposite the 'hill' is West Kennet longbarrow where people have been camping inside too - but they were new age judging from the offerings left ~lol~
Thanks for the article Kat - annoying huh?

A reactionary pronoucement?
To state an opinion that this vandalism is 'annoying' and that 'they should do more to protect the site' you think I need to 'defend the indefensible'?
Your reasoning? First, why would you presume that I should wish to defend - I'm guessing you mean the archaeology at this site- anyway?
You assume this with no reference to me, and then argue with me about it. You still have no idea at all what my view is on the archaeological developements on the site.
Second even with your assumption, there is no connection; it is possible to support best practice archaeology whilst disapproving of past practice and vandalism. I doubt that Zahi Hawass approves of Vsye's methods - doesn't mean that he should give up his preservation regime at Giza does it?
Why would I need to deal with any issues concerning the historical methods for archaeology at the site to offer an opinion on vandalism there?
Do people really still say 'rattle your cage'?
I should have thought, and I may be wrong, that anyone who wasn't Ian Alex Blease would have first responded - 'I'm not Ian.'
