<i>I</i> find it funny and pathetic (in the truest sense of the term); for one thing, it's not about <i>their spirituality</i> - it's about conforming to a group identity, whether this is by wearing a football shirt, wearing a suit, or wearing dreads and having a dog on a string, it amounts to the same thing . The <i>spirituality</i> you seek to defend is an ill-conceived hotch-potch of belief systems to which most of its supposed adherents don't conform.

That should garner some responses.....
