I've been looking at Mark Lehner's reconstructions of the Mortuary Temples. There are architectural differences between each, and the middle MT appears a lot longer than the others (if I recall). The problem is, the structures lie in almost complete ruin. I have to do a lot more reading to find out how M.L. reached his conclusions regarding the original shape and construction of the MTs.
I do find it interesting that his reconstructions have a "sun rook" opening in top - as though *something* was supposed to be visible through the opening.
