No, I dispute your assertion, and repeat that my argument - "> "If the basis of his theory were truly sound, then > it should work elsewhere" is actually very logical. Surely the theory should work for all pyramid fields containing true (i.e., not step) pyramids?

There's a lot of continuity from Meidum right through until the end of the 6th dynasty and Pepi II.
