SC: Wrong. My work is not dependent on proving the *agent* or mechanism for these apparent cycles of cataclysm, only that such events (in whatever shape or form that might be) do occur and that such an event took place around some 12,500 years ago and this is being indicated to us in the Giza Precession Wheel.
Hans: Hmmmm, so you are admitting there is no evidence of any kind showing that an event occurred at the time you are claiming? If so your further claim that the AE "encoded" a future event in a cycle (which doesn't exist) is a bit far-fetched. Plus even in your make-it-up story you state that it only happened twice, and twice is not a cycle.
I cite LaViolette as an example of a possible cause of the cataclysms, not the definitive cause.
Hans: The you are admitting your idea is build on speculation and not evidence? Plus his idea is different than yours, if you believe him your idea is then incorrect.
LaViolette states that such pulses go off from the Galactic core every 10,000 years or thereabouts. Firestone, West and Warwick-Smith in their 'Cycle of Cosmic Cataclysms' speculate that the event was caused by a Superniova explosion - I cite this as another possibility in my book.
Hans: Ah more speculation
I am not a phycicist or a mathematicician
Hans: No need to admit that
but it seems to me that travelling at the speed of light at least 2 of these GCEs have already taken place in the remote past - the energy from them just hasn't reached us yet.
Hans: Yep in your idea two events equals a cycle huh? So how did the hunter-gathers figure this all out.
But who's to say it won't?
Hans: Whose to say a giant green spaceslug won't eat the street next to your house?
Hans: It would seem your idea is just speculation without basis. By the way what are all the other pyramids for?
One other comment, the victorians didn't invent the idea of the pyramids being tombs, The purpose of the structure, according to Herodotus' sources, was as a tomb for the Pharaoh Khufu. His source were the Egyptians of course.
