You couldn't just "pour and go", either. Or did he take that into account. If he's presuming that, then it's going to take a LOT longer than 20 years to pour it and let it set up and then cure, one block at a time.

I believe a close examination of the blocks will show the layers of formation in them. But you'd need a good geologist and a good close-up.
