O.K., to sum up recent history: This thread started out discussing purported Bosnian pyramids, I pointed out that the media & academic commentary re that issue was NO WORSE (if anything, somewhat MORE accurate) than it was for American news items like Kennewick Man & Stanford's Solutrean Solution. This segued into James Chatters role re Kennewick Man (as detailed by Lee), which led to his taking the 5th Amendment AND refusing to take a lie detector test, which led to your focus on the validity/etc of lie detectors.
1) The legality of lie dectectors IN THE U.S., as per the fact that we were discussing James Chatters in specific, is DIRECTLY connected to the 5th Amendment, which in turn is DIRECTLY connected to Britain.
2) Relevance...., uh, the 5th was mentioned in the same paragraph & re same context as the lie detector mention you objected to. And the 5th is DIRECTLY related to legality of lie detectors (even to their accuracy, re research effort pertaining to improvement thereof). So yep, it's relevant.
3) Uh, have you actually quoted data (in this thread) re the accuracy of lie detectors? If so, where?

Nope, see above. Britain was the primary impetus for the 5th Amendment, which was the primary hindrance to the acceptance (& technical improvement of) lie detector tests.

Even more relevance re Britain & the 5th & lie detectors!!
(Although I'd disagree.... the Magna Carta limited the power of the monarchy OVER THE BARONS..... it didn't protect the rights of the citizenry per se, it merely clarified WHICH group of rulers had power. The Constitution, by contrast, was directly patterned after the Iroquois Confederacy's political system, and spelled out the rights of the citizenry & the states vs that of the upper tier of govt.).
