<HTML>I'm rather new to both the GHMB and this board. I've only read little blurbs regarding Ian and his behaviour, so I highly doubt I know the whole story.
GH&RB practically slandered Fagan over somthing he had no control over. They raised their issues in public and started a flame fest. I don't know if Robert has a new book coming out and needs a little attention or what, but the whole thing should have been settled on a more personal level instead of making a huge public episode out of something Fagan had no control over. They blamed him and demanded an apology from him, publically, when the wording did not even involve him. They casted a shadow over the entire university and the reputation of Dr. Fagan instead of acting professional and dealing with their issues in a professional manner.
Now a statement is released that proves Fagan's innocence in the matter and clears his name after two weeks of slanderous, insulting comments from Bauval (moreso than hancock). Bauval was demanding a public apology from Dr. Fagan, NOT PSU. Now that the episode was clearly not the result of Dr. Fagan's indifference towards the alternative group, Bauval should step up to the plate and apologise for making such a scene and wrongly assuming it was Fagan's fault, publically blaming him and demeaning his character.
Not that we will ever see it though...
Like I said, this whole thing would have never happened if it was all dealt with in a more professional, personal manner.
