Yes and I'm very excited about Aspero .... I've been going back over all the papers I have on Aspero and its so wonderfully obvious an antecedent for Caral ... there are SO many things in common (not surprisingly since they are so close together and were trading partners) and you can see how the start at Aspero bloomed into Caral... and maybe the rest of the area. Between the Supe, Patvilica, and Fortaleza river valleys there are numerous sites.
Aspero has only been dated "down" to the top one-quarter to one-third of the site. The best guess of one of the excavators, Robert Feldman, is that the site will come in around 3,500 BC.
It'll be interesting to find out what is discovered there when Dr's Shady and Moseley excavate the site fully.
