Good idea John.
Enjoy the 15 days. Word of caution - you need DirectX 8.0 and the top end driver (128 Rage Fury Pro) to run it on Windows. Older versions of your hardware will make the screen freeze (they can't handle the power of the program).
As a point of interest, as much as I prefer SNP, there are others which are very good as well. (VERY good).
Beyond doubt, 'The Sky' is THE software (expensive though - it can run thousands of dollars for the complete media). This thing rocks - for example, one comparison is while SkyMap runs 15 million stars, and SNP 19 million, 'The Sky' runs an unbelievable 526 million stars. A second product comparison would be the on site size of the databases - SM 580Megs, SNP 3Gigs, and The Sky, well...you need a whole seperate computer. SNP makes up for it by linking directly to the worldwide databases.
Then there's 'Dance of the Planets'. Not a bad Solar System sim.
But of the hundreds of programs (visit SEDS to see a list), only two are linked to the highest order of planetarium digitized sky surveys:
'The Sky' and 'Starry Night Pro'.
They are also the most highly recommended programs in the world.
