As Alex mentions in his post Anthony there are no "superior"and "inferrior"
cultures. That is a a patronising if not a racist approach to start with. Every culture developed on local basis and according to local environment. The outsider without this knowledge or background can bring a culture to an end but scarcely,if ever, can modify it for the better. Any "intruding" culture is doing so for their benefit and not for the benefit of the locals. So any
"advances" or "improvements" are purely coincidental.
