Dave: "It can do, yes. But so can most other things."
Oh come on, Dave. This is a very poor excuse. You are advocating an attitude which leads to more racism and xenophobia in society on the basis that "most other things" can lead to the same result. What other things? Vague and not very responsible.
That is similar to advocating a loosening of the gun restrictions in Britain on the basis that people get killed by many other means anyway.
That reminds me of the comment by the head of the National Rifle Association: "Guns don't kill people- people do". Yes, but the gun helps, surely? Take away the gun and you don't have a problem.
Take away the Daily Mail and the World is a much nicer place in my opinion.
I realise that I have used very extreme examples here, but it gets the message accross. I feel that the Daily Mail has the potential to effect society in such a strong and adverse way that it needs to reign in its opinions. Tone them down. Extreme reactions lead to an extreme society.
