There are similarities between the pyramids in terms of their design, but there's no clear evidence to suggest that these similarities were the result of a master plan rather than shared cultural or technological influences.
The fact that the Gizamids are not all the same size, and that their layouts differ somewhat, suggests that the builders adapted their designs to suit the specific requirements of each individual pyramid. And then there's the layout of Khafre's pyramid, which appears to have been changed mid-construction, which suggests that the builders were able to adapt their plans as necessary rather than adhering to a pre-existing blueprint.
And possibly each pyramid was designed and constructed by a different team of architects. While I believe there's some evidence to suggest that there was a degree of collaboration between the builders of the various pyramids, it's difficult to know its full extent.
So, sorry, i'm not really buying the master plan idea ...
