With the work on The Red Pyramid that Mark is doing I have been fiddling with the numbers again and noticed a few things that i may or may not have mentioned on this broad before.
The first is the diameter of The Moon. Now in ancient Egyptian mythology The Moon is related to Thoth who is said to be "The Measurer" so I have always felt that the ancient Egyptians knew something that perhaps we had forgotten . So i decided to see what secrets The Moon could hold in relation to Egypt and their measuring system, The Royal Cubit. With that in mind I decided to see what the diameter of The Moon was in Royal Cubits to see if that could help at all. here is a bit of what I found. First the most recent figures as posted on Wiki: [
simple.wikipedia.org] The diameter of The Moon according to recent figures is 3474.2 kilometers. with virtually no flattening meaning it is almost a perfect circle. So I decided let's see what this distance is in Royal Cubits.
3474.2 kilometers = 3474200 meters
3474200 meters = (/ by 0.0254) 136779527.56 inches
136779527.56 inches = ???? how many Royal Cubits
Let's pick a number that shows 2/3rds and 1/3rd and thus is in a 1 to 2 and 2/3 ratio both very significant ratios in Ancient Egypt. So what should we choose. Let's try ... an easy number to remember 66 um 33 um 000 or 6633000 Royal Cubits ... would this fit ? Well ...
6633000 Royal Cubits = (x 20.62) 136772460 inches
As we can see it checks to the number of inches in the actual diameter of The Moon to a ratio of 136772460 / 136779527.56 or 0.99995 thus it is fairly safe to say that the diameter of The Moon is in fact .... 6633000 Royal Cubits.
However Thoth is also suggested to be Mercury and interestingly Mercury is also in a 3 to 2 ratio of years to days ... That is 3 days on Mercury is the same time as 2 years. Strange how it is also in a 3 to 2 ratio and both these objects were said to be associated with Thoth. But how do they relate to each other ? Very nicely actually for The Moon's diameter divides in the semi major axis of Mercury ???? Well calculating for Mercury gives us a semi major axis of 1105666274623 Royal Cubits . Thus if we divide 6633000 (Moon's diameter in Royal Cubits) into 1105666274623 Royal Cubits (semi major axis of Mercury in Royal Cubits ) we find that it equals 1105666274623 / 6633000 and we get 166691.73 and it could easily be 166666.66 or 5/3. This would give us as a distance to Mercury of 11055000 Royal Cubits and would give us within the number 2(110) to 1 (55) and 110.55 seems to show up an awful lot in Ancient Egyptian measurements specifically now I am referring to the height at The Bent Pyramid above the bend. If we look at this pyramid with fresh eyes we might see that above the bend was 110.55 cubits (relating to Mercury / Moon) and in meters we could have 57.91 (semi major ) to 46.01 (closest approach of Mercury to the Sun) for a height of 198.61 cubits
So is this why Thoth was called "The Measurer" and was related to both The Moon and Mercury ? A lot of people have trouble wrapping their brain around this and most, actually all, Egyptologists simply couldn't care less even if it were true. Since there is virtually no other logical explanation that has ever been given then it has to be assumed that The Ancient Egyptians knew about the diameter of The Moon and also about the 2 to 3 ratio of Mercury but since this was a fairly recent discovery even in our times it does tend to stretch the bounds of credibility. But then what is the explanation ? Coincidence ? It is a coincidence that both The Moon and Mercury show a 3 to 2 relationship and are in a 5 to 3 ratio to each other and that Hermes was called the thrice great, and that all of this is a coincidence or was there some way The Ancients knew ? And with the discovery that 309 (.017) Moons equal precisely 25 years (of 365.02 days) it seems that maybe The Moon and Mercury really were ... The Messenger of .... The Creator God. But I agree it seems impossible that ancient man could know these things. I have studied and have found no way that someone can get this information. Oh they can find ratios and such but specific things like the diameter of The Moon and it's relationship to the semi major axis of Mercury seems to be beyond logical thought . It seem impossible, yet it fits. Lucky guess ? for both planet and Moon ? Perhaps we are missing something somewhere ... perhaps the answer lies within the solution to the birth of The Sumerians, the birth of Hieroglyphs and where it all really started.
