The shift in the solar year relative to the calendar year was tracked over decades and centuries by the shift in the calendar date of the first annual appearance of Sirius at dawn.

This event was preceded by approximately 70 days when Sirius was hidden from Egyptian eyes. The Satellite Pyramid of the Bent Pyramid cannot be seen from the Red Pyramid, which may be significant because the Satellite Pyramid is a 70/292 scale model of the Red Pyramid.

1/8 x circumference of the circle that encompasses the base square of the Satellite Pyramid is equal to 55 5/9 royal cubits, and the skew of the Satellite Pyramid has a tangent = 55 5/9 ÷ 10,000.

A circle with a circumference of 360 royal cubits is latent in the base of the Bent Pyramid only because of the relative position of the Satellite Pyramid. Similarly, periods of 8 x 40 solar years and 8 x 1,460 solar years are latent in the design of the Red Pyramid. These periods of time become cycles of 40 years and 1,460 years by applying the 1/8 ratio of the Satellite Pyramid.

A virtual circle with a diameter equal to sr20,000 encompasses the base square of the Satellite Pyramid (100 x 100), and the tangent of the skew = 2/360 as a geometric operator denoting 1/8 x circumference (45°) of the virtual circle.

Let the diameter of the circle = 45 pi (approx sr20,000 for pi approximation of 22/7)

Diameter x 1/pi degrees = 45 degrees = 1/8 x circumference of the circle.

1/pi degrees = (circumference) ÷ 360 pi = (45pi x pi) ÷ 360 pi = 45pi/360

Tangent 1/pi degrees = approx 45pi/360 ÷ radius = approx (45pi/360) ÷ (45pi/2) = approx 2/360

Arc of 1/pi degrees = 45pi/360 x 28 digits = 45 x 22/7 x 28 x 1/360 = 11 digits

Arc of 45 degrees = 45pi x (45pi/360)= 20,000/360 approx = 55 5/9 royal cubits

Arc of 45 degrees ÷ tan 1/pi degrees = (45pi x 45pi)/2 = 20,000/2 approx = 10,000 approx

Tangent of skew = 2/360 = 55 5/9 royal cubits ÷ 10,000 royal cubits

Perimeter of first chamber of the Red Pyramid (320 palms) x 1/8 = 40 palms:

40 solar years x 365 ¼ days = 40 calendar years of 365 days + 10 days

Perimeter base of Red Pyramid (11,680 palms) x 1/8 = 1,460 palms:

1,460 solar years = 1460 calendar years + 36½ Egyptian weeks of 10 days

The ratio of the perimeter of the first chamber to the perimeter of the base square is precisely 1 : 36.5
This ratio is independent of the unit of length.

The 1/pi degrees (7/22 degrees) is represented in the first antechamber of the Red Pyramid by corbels of 7/22 royal cubits

Therefore the geometric operator (x 1/8) of the Satellite Pyramid can be regarded as acting on the first antechamber of the Red Pyramid.
