Chris, I think this may be the positiong scheme of the two large Giza pyramids. You have to view Giza looking West, not North or South. You put Electra at due West. Merope is a little dimmer than Electra, like Khafre's Pyramid is a little smaller than the Great Pyramid. The Great Pyramid was probably correlated to Electra because that's the first star to set. The 3rd pyramid is not involved in this scheme, which is probably why it's so much smaller. It must be postitioned on a purely geometric basis. I used the year 2600 BC for this.
Giza is all about the western sky. People have been thrown off by thinking it is supposed to be viewed looking North or South, or even East. The QC niche clears up the confusion. A statue in the niche would be gazing in one direction only, due West.
