What exactly do you mean by the term Civilisers?

If you are refering to an outside agency ie aliens..then of course they would have the ability to accurately observe and measure said distances. But that still leaves the question of them having employed the metric standard..millenia before the well documented developement and adoption of the metric standard. Not to mention the dearth of physical evidence of their visitation.

If you are refering to a contemporary human agency...The contradictions, to my thinking, are multiplied ten fold.
