"It is a shame that most of Dorner's work on Red along with his work as on the Bent only adds to the existing confusion regarding these structures. His curious lapse in procedure would seem to contaminate the results of survey. If the data cannot be tracked from beginning to end, what is the method of verification?

Just a thought! "

excellant point...any attempt to circumvent the scientific method puts any and all findings in doubt.

as for Seked and angles....

to my thinking the Seked is first and foremost an easily communicated template

WE known they employed a right angle plumb bob...

and it's not hard to see that the string holding the weight clearly defines a 45 degree angle

tho they would most likely have deemed it simply Half of a right angle .

they knew about halves...any experienceced bricklayer does

Length twice the width(which is also the proportion of many of their enclosures) and usually thickness half the width

symettry, proportion, balance..all of these can be appreciated and achieved without recourse to modern (or Greek)geometry.

I see a symbiotic relationship between form function and execution

so Yes I think one can make a plausible case for the pyramidal form being directly resultant of their beliefs

PS: seems like we ended up have our discussion here after all.smiling smiley
