In fact, the physical evidence speaks clearly against your "theory".

Because of the steep angle and poor quality of the foundation soil, the outer casing cracked, split and slid down about 9 inches. Rather than risk losing the entire structure (if the king had died he would have had nowhere to be buried), they immediately adjusted the slope of the pyramid to decrease the weight pressing down on the now-damaged casing.
