I can't agree with your observation about the location of the Subterranean Chamber.
The Chamber's north wall is roughly 4 feet south of the Pyramid's E-W axis, and Clive's drawing is, I think, fairly representative of this.
Vertically below the base the Chamber seems about right.
Perhaps you could post why you think it is inaccurate.

Indeed it is.
Clive has it sitting at a level approximately halfway up the Ascending Passage when in fact it is closer to the DP/AP junction around 25 feet lower down.
Then there's the question of where inside the Grotto Clive's reference point is.
The Grotto is big enough for two or three people to mill around in, so there's quite a bit of leeway there.

I find these comments puzzling.
Petrie's
The Pyramids and Temples of Giza First Edition 1883, is without doubt the single most reliable reference work on the actual measurements of Khufu's pyramid.
However, it must be made clear that Petrie did make some mistakes (notably and topically the length of the Descending Passage floor), and his survey of the base has been partially superseded (though not in the opinion of everybody) by Cole's survey of 1925.
What few errors there are in Petrie's book (not all of his own making) can be quickly and easily picked up and corrected through reference to works by Piazzi Smyth, Rutherford (perhaps surprisingly), J & M Edgar, Cole, M & R, Dormion, Lepre, Verner and so on.
I think the lesson here is: don't rely
solely on Petrie's
The Pyramids and Temples of Giza First Edition 1883.
