Its an interesting approach Don, never seen it before...however the validity of your 'grid' rests soley on its purpose and/or its function within ancient Egyptian science; governed by their cosmology (theology). The irrational number you thread is merely resulting from using the fixed and opposing corners of G1 ne and g3 sw, they have no relation to any known and/or logical ideas that we have on record. Sorry to say, in my view, if what you are proposing is to have significant value it must be shown to have a doctrinal origin supported by real evidence.
Thats not to say a grand scheme did not exist, lets face it Saqqara is quite the grand scheme, but its courtyards and temples are organized within an entirely different concept from those built at Giza, the developement of a Site Plan is not out of the question by any means, it just needs to be realized in simple and logical terms within the known limits of their ability and culture...basic elements required.
I have a book I would like to recommend; G. Polya ~ "How to solve it" a new aspect of mathematical method...(second edition, Princeton Univ. Press 1985 [expanded Princeton Science Library ed. 2004). ISBN 0-691-11966-X
You will gain insight, I highly recommend it.
All the Best,
