Do you mean the desert like that in Libya?

I simply don't see it as an astronomical leap. The
presense of water in the Nile Valley would have been
less useful and less remarkable to the pyramid build-
ers. This is probably why the Nile hardly even war-
rants a mention in the Pyramid Texts.
