Wat a better challenge? Compare Google Earth to any other closly defined GPS data.
1) I wager you find Google Earh off by multiples of 50 meters.
2) I bet you're not aware independant states reseve the right to dictate to Google Earth how accurate their sat-maps can be.
Let me ask you, if this point is valid (and I have seperate sources for knowing it is), how accurate does that make all your layouts?
And, anticipating the claim "the actual GPS may be off, but the picture is accurate 100%" have you contacted Google Earth and asked them about Giza?
I have recently become aware, on a totally different project 1/3 of the globe away, that they reserve the right to "stretch" or "twist" their images slightly to meet security demands. Like up to a minute of angle!
They even have they're stretch ruler to measure crow fly distances deliberatly whacked.
I mean be real, If Country "A" could measure the exact distance to the political center of country "B", all the fun of guessing what to set your guided missle up for is gone.
Ogy, there goes all your measurements of the Light Second and Olympica Stadia Wave....
If, as I suspect, some of that is mixed into GE to satisfy the Egyptian Security Forces, then all these careful layouts are (pun intended) footprints in the sand.
One good stiff wind and they're gone.
Don't take my word on it, ask THEM.
Jammer
PS; Still works wonders on discovering mostly concealed ruins though, give them 100% credit for that!
