Sorry to tell you but it's not "secretly" encoded...the numbers are given to you...they are looking right at you...!
In the days of Chace and up to late the 1950's fractions were the only way to go...it was every-day mathematics...no calculators and no power of ten multiplying. I'm surprised that he and others who study ancient math never caught onto these writings.
In my younger days, to do mixed base fractions was accomplished mentally...didn't need what the author of the Rhind shows you, that's why as kids we were "ordered" to memorize the times tables.
If you are accustomed to the fraction process then you know that extra numbers are inserted in these writings for a reason...you are to discover why.
Since others have only been able to assume, perhaps you, in your wisdom, can explain why numbers unrelated to the illustration are the "base" for "all" calculations.
