Never shown but often mentioned.Yakity Yak

As for the Irrational Pi, they used unit fractions.
Try this for an approximation:
3 + 1/9 + 1/33 + 1/5602

Two examples:Earth(24902 miles) circle and AU(92,955,807 miles) circle(perfect circles for examples only)

Earth Circle: error of 2.26 inches
AU Circle:the error is 703 feet

IF that isn't close enough, and with a quick, *rough approximation:

3 + 1/9 + 1/33 + 1/5602 + *1/223000000

Earth circle: error of 1/128th inches
AU Circle:the error is 2 feet 5 inches(29 inches)

I can tweak the last unit fraction to get more precise if this isn't accurate enough for those who insist Pi was known in AE. Of course I will wait around for this set of unit fractions to be found in the pyramids now.

As for circular buildings the only ones of use were the granaries and only the volume was important not the circumference.
Curious that we have problems showing how to find the area of a circle but not the circumference. That just has to be a coincidence.That is Illogical

Of course taking the same method for finding the area and going opposite direction can find an approximation for the circumference.
S=D - 1/9D A=S^2

H=D + 1/9D S=sqrt[1/2(H^2)] P= S*4 P=C

simpler, less accurate approximation:
H=D + 1/9D S=H *(1/2 + 1/5) P= S*4 P=C

By simply adding 1/100th of P to P value above you get as accurate as 1st formula so:
C=P + 1/100P

We can do this all day long but until someone puts forth outside evidence to support their ideas then all they will be are ideas not credible theories.Pop the Smiley

If all it takes is mathematical number juggling to prove such things are real then:
Lunar year length = 354.36707
354.36707/5*6= 425.240484
SQRT425.240484= 20.621359896961208896576354031573
Since most here like decimals to only three places:
20.621 = Royal Cubit length within Petrie's tolerances.
Math proved it so it must be true. That is how the AE came up with the RC length, after all they were great in astrology and astronomy according to some folks!
Let them prove my math wrong if it isn't true! Salute
It Hit the Fan Now!
