From the triangulation survey diagram in 'Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh' (1883), it looks like it must have been the SW corner which constitutes your 'C', as this is the only one with theodolite shot lines shown connecting with the actual corner.
(point mu, although even this does not look spot-on).
He would probably have measured the base side lengths manually - although I am unsure if these were uncovered with sand at the time.
