G2 and G3 positions
This idea concerns the placement of the entrances (or exits if you like) of G2 & G3 and the burial chamber of G2.
The stellar part.
Latitude G2 = 29.98 degrees north. (P. Smyth)
Thuban 1.24 degrees form NCP 2559 bc.
Radius range of circumpolar stars with Thuban as NCP = 28.74 to 31.22 degrees.
By measuring between G2 entrance, the NCP and the northwest corner of G1 I get an angle of 29.24 degrees well within the corresponding range of the circumpolar star radius.
By measuring between G3 entrance, the NCP, the southwest corner of G2 and the entrance of G2 I get an angle of 30.08 degrees also well within the corresponding range of the circumpolar star radius.
The solar part.
Sun at Summer Solstice July 15 2559 bc azimuth = 61.651944 north degrees.
Sun at Equinox east is 90 degrees to get the angle between due east and the northern most point of the Sun subtract. 90 – 61.651944 = 28.348056 degrees rounded off equals 28.35 degrees.
The north angle 28.35 degrees lines up with the G2 burial chamber, the southeast corner of G1 and the Sun’s northern most point.
This next photo is only meant to show a possible plan for G3’s solar position and somewhat following what is possibly a similar plan for G1 where the entire pyramid is included in the solar angles. A satellite photo is not the best to use but it shows a general overview for the plateau.
