I cannot comment on Tallet's arguments, as unfortunately, I haven't read his book.

Judging by his suggested year of Khufu's death, he is in favor of a low chronology, roughly corresponding to the reconstruction of Hornung, Krauss, and Warburton.

If Tallet backed away from that date (year), it would be interesting to know why.
