Whatever his relationship with Khufu, he is certainly mentioned in Merer's journal (Month 2, Day 24, Papyrus B IV [Tallet 2017: 63]); he was apparently present while Merer's crew hauled stone.
Mainstream Egyptologists believe Sneferu was Khufu's father, but only because it was handed down by later historians that the eldest son or a selected descendant would inherit the throne
(Wiki).
Ankhhaf was a
son of Sneferu and an unknown wife (196, PDF 223).
