Thanks very much for the informative responses. But I'm still wondering how to interpret the register depicting a cow and the bird?

In addition, I was wondering why I haven’t been able to find an Egyptian word or hieroglyph that meant brown in any of the many dictionaries I’ve examined. The only reference to brown that I did find was in Mark Vygus’ dictionary, which interprets st3st3 as “to burn, to brown”, but questions the latter interpretation.

Did the Egyptians not have a word for brown?

Thanks in advance for the additional help.
