The question is ...when did they start applying the seked to OK pyramids?
In the absence of ... it's not unusual to settle for the golden section (which he has). He's singled out both Khufu and the Maidum pyramid which is thought to have beeen completed by Snofru and then asked why the others didn't follow the perfect ratio.
Sometimes you hear artists describe the golden means as a ratio that "looks just right" so he wondered why the other pyramids were modified around the perfect slope of 51º 49' 38". (his 51º 49.6'). Apparently he assumed that this was due to poor artistic judgement on the part of the builders.
As Khufu's casing blocks, in situ, Nth side, can in fact be interpreted to have this perfect slope he's at least half right.
