pheww! -I feel better now -thought i was the only one with nothin' better to do on a Saturday eve...
The Duat is a geometrical wonder -the images describe it best and hardly require words but I am not familiar with the procedure of posting them here (could email too, if desired).
It is an area in celestial topography, anchored between Sirius, the Pleiades, and the two stars Pollox & Castor in the constellation of Gemini -This forms a triangle with a missing apex, like that of the Great Pyramid. (there is more interesting stuff involving the Eye of Horus and this 'missing capstone' but I'll run out of paper!)
What makes it very special is the exactness, astronomically -it is indeed 'the Hidden circle of the Duat' that we read about. It is the navel of the sky and also has a dual connotation of 'as above, so below' -terrestrially projected it is the navel of the Globe...
I was led to its location by the magical Pyramid Texts that, other than just a tale, contain precise scientific information..
Rostau, according to the AE's is the gateway to the afterworld Duat and that is indeed so:
‘Betake yourself to the Waterway, fare upstream…traverse Abydos.
The celestial portal to the Horizon is open to you…
may you remove yourself to the sky, for the roads of the celestial
expanses which lead up to Horus are cleaned for you…
for you have traversed the Winding Waterway which is in the north of
the sky.
The Duat has grasped your hand at the Place Where Orion is…’
{Pyramid Text 798-803}
Rostau is Orion and the place where the Duat grasps his hand is that navel!-an exact astronomical reference but there is more... all of this leads somewhere -to the retrogade motion of the Earth, known as precession. (all is elaborately substantiated in my book)
Best wishes
