Morph,
All the more reason for you to "knuckle Down" and prove you are right about your theory. I feel that by exposing your approach and/or methodology one post at a time, one drawing at a time here or anywhere else, you are openning the door for critique and will undoubtably attract reaction. Personally, I have not read your material because it is not presented in what I view as a completed form; George Poyla's 'constructive solution'. The resources required to prove your points don't arrive out of thin air, someone has to actually take the time and effort to work through them on the ground and not from a computer, weighing them against the plethora of data already collected. Most individuals who have spent their entire adult lives studying Egyptology either as non-professional or professional don't know the first thing about math, astronomy, achitecture or geography, and the flip side is that very few of the latter group know a damn thing about egyptology or archaeology. So your expectations of Petrie's work, Jon or anyone else should be measured and properly viewed contextually. I do understand your frustration given that the idea here is an open forum and all people and their thoughts being equal.
I highly recommend you live at Giza for a month or two before you build a model, the ability to walk the surface and surrounding areas over time will reveal many thoughts to you about how best to approach the subject.
Best Regards,
B.A. Hokom
