Personally I find this somewhat shallow, even offensive. Females of early hono sapiens attended the hunts and assisted. This writer seems to be making the point "Neanderthol died out because the man-folk did a poor job or protecting the woman-folk".

I truly thought the old "Ugh go hunt, you go pick berries Wilma" school of thought was long dead since the 70s.
