Jon,
Thanks so much for your efforts. I am disappointed that their DNA is still up in the air. Two sets of tests with contradictory results! I wonder ( in the world of DNA testing ) if
"185 times more likely that the two "brothers" shared a common mother" is a significant number and what it means exactly. Any ideas? ( that question is addressed to anyone with some DNA knowledge) And then why the second test showed no relation?
Now I am wondering what the hype meant:
"In recent years the remains of the “Two Brothers” have been re-examined using modern
analytical techniques pioneered by the KNH Centre for Biomedical
Egyptology at the University of Manchester, and more of the secrets
hidden within their ancient bodies have been revealed."
I am glad I decided not to spend a huge amount of money getting the book here fast if it really doesn't add much. Knowing the name of one more parasite is not my idea of a fascinating read.
Your photos are very good and I only wish I could have used them in my article.
I guess we have not heard the last word on these two remarkable ancient Egyptians and what their burial may or may not say about family in ancient Egypt.
Here is the citation for my article on them in KMT:
