To me that could be considered elevated horizontal. Certainly the leopard (?) is drawn in side elevation. If the buildings (?) are homes then the dots are windows(?).
If that’s the case the map becomes a layout in 3D horizontal. If it IS an aerial view then the dots become what, chimneys?
Thanks for discussing this. Here's another example; we have all seen sub-surface ocean view paintings etc. From Natty-G to Jacques Cousteau to snorkeling, we have assimilated and understand this concept. We can look at the pictures of whales and reefs and dolphins underwater and get it easily.
Imagine the AE who looked at going below the surface as drowning. Look at their scrolls that show rivers in the afterlife teeming with dangerous crocodiles, all on the surface swimming along. Exactly the way they would see them in their life experience.
