I have nothing against Legon and grids on the plateau. If we only understood 4th dynasty survey techniques (those postholes need mentioning again) then I think a solution would be forthcoming. The resulting solution may not support grids but there are apects of grid hunting that are entwined in similar mathematical solutions. IOW one solution can be just part of another.
The single most illumination aspect of Legon's proposal (for me) is the exposure of a triple, in this case a circumference of 2220. The Greeks were big on triples and I suspect this was inherited knowledge. When you see triples you can generally work back and discover simple rules of arithmetic.
